Some of the region's best-known landmarks will light up green on Tuesday 6th October to mark World Cerebral Palsy Day.

Birkenhead Town Hall, Wallasey Town Hall, Runcorn Town Hall, the Mersey Gateway Bridge, Liverpool ONE and M&S Bank Arena will all be illuminated in green as part of the global awareness day, which this year carries the theme "Unique and United". The theme celebrates the individuality of every person living with cerebral palsy, while bringing communities together to champion inclusion and support.

For Stick 'n' Step the green-lit buildings will be a visible reminder of the families we support. It costs £1,000 a day to keep one of our centres open, and this World Cerebral Palsy Day, we are asking the public to help us reach that figure.

Our Chief Executive, Sarah Smithson, said,

World Cerebral Palsy Day is a really important moment for us, and seeing landmarks right across our region lit up green shows just how united our community can be. This year's theme, Unique and United, sums up what we do perfectly. Every child who comes through our doors is unique, with their own goals and their own journey, and it's the support of local people that makes that journey possible.

If you spot one of the landmarks glowing green on the 6th, we'd love you to take a photo, share it and tag us. And if you're able to, please make a donation. Every pound brings us closer to the £1,000 it takes to keep a centre open for a day, so that children can keep building the skills that help them live more independent lives.

People can donate to Stick 'n' Step at www.sticknstep.org/donate. Please share photos of the green landmarks on social media using #WorldCPDay and #SticknStep and tagging us @sticknstep.
