Our incredible volunteers are at the heart of our work and we’d love you to join our team

Whether it’s selling raffle tickets, cheering on event participants, pulling pints at a Beer Festival or acting as an event marshal we have a role for you! We are always in need of volunteers.

Volunteering is a great way to meet new people, gain new skills, boost your CV and raise awareness of the work of Stick ‘n’ Step. And the great thing is you’ll feel good knowing you’ve helped a child or young person to reach their potential.

Below are just some of our volunteering opportunities.

Volunteer Photographer

We're looking for volunteer photographers to support the charity at events and to capture our children working in the classroom. We will support you by giving you a brief and reimbursing reasonable travel expenses. Volunteers need to have access to their own photography equipment, to be able to produce high-resolution images. This is a key role to enable the charity to demonstrate the important work we do and engage more people to support us.

Hulme Hall, Port sunlight

November 2020, April 2021Ship & Mitre Beer Festival, Hulme Hall, Port Sunlight

We are proud to be the charity recipient for the Ship & Mitre bi-annual Beer Festival at Hulme Hall, Port Sunlight.

Volunteers will be asked to sell raffle tickets and have a go behind the bar serving customers. Customers have the opportunity to donate their unused beer tokens and your job as a volunteer would involve encouraging them to donate theirs to Stick ‘n’ Step.

Arno Rose Garden, Oxton

May 2021Oxton Secret Gardens

We are delighted to have been chosen as one of the charity recipients for the award-winning Secret Garden of Oxton event organised annually by the Wirral Conservation Society of Oxton.

Volunteers will be asked to give up 3 hours of their time to act as a steward, sell refreshments and admit guests to over 20 private gardens.

Zac family wirral coastal walk

June 2021Wirral Coastal Walk, From Seacombe Ferry to New Brighton

Every year we are proud to support the Rotary Club of North Wirral by encouraging our supporters to take part and to volunteer. In 2021 we would like volunteers to host a Stick ‘n’ Step cheer point at the 10-mile point along the route.

Volunteers will be asked to set up the cheering station with our Stick ‘n’ Step branding and hand out water, jelly-beans, motivation and encouragement to all of the fabulous walkers.

Don’t see anything that takes your fancy at the moment?

We’d still love to hear from you as we have lots of new and exciting opportunities coming up all the time, both for those interested in long term volunteering or just every once in a while.

Or, if you’d simply like to apply to become a Stick ‘n’ Step volunteer and be kept up to date with our latest opportunities, then please fill in an enquiry form below.
