Office team scales three peaks to give back to charity that helped colleague’s brother
15 June 2026
An office team from S&W Manchester has successfully completed the gruelling Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge, raising more than £5,000 for children with cerebral palsy who we support.
The group took on the iconic endurance challenge, climbing Pen‑y‑ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough, a 24‑mile route including more than 5,000 feet of ascent, all within a single day.
The team raised an impressive £5,047.51 in total, made up of:
- £2,265 from their JustGiving page
- £517.51 in Gift Aid
- £2,265 in match funding from S&W Manchester
The challenge was chosen as a way to test the team’s physical and mental resilience, while coming together as a team to support a cause close to their hearts. S&W Manchester selected Stick ’n’ Step as their charity partner after learning about the impact of our work first-hand. One of their colleagues had previously seen how we supported her brother, who has cerebral palsy, and wanted to give something back.
Lydia Sheppard, Associate from S&W, said,
We were looking for a challenge that would really stretch us and the Yorkshire Three Peaks definitely delivered. Completing all three peaks in one day was incredibly tough, but knowing we were doing it for Stick ’n’ Step and for families like our colleague’s kept us going!
Despite steep climbs, unpredictable weather and the sheer endurance required, the team completed the challenge together, raising vital funds to support our work with children and young people with cerebral palsy.
Tania Oliveira, Regional Fundraiser at Stick ‘n’ Step, said,
We’re incredibly grateful to the team at S&W Manchester for taking on such a demanding challenge in support of our work. Fundraising like this makes a real difference, helping us continue to support children and families across the region.
