The Jelly Welly Walk is fun, it's gooey and it will support children in your local community with cerebral palsy.
We are inviting nurseries to pull on their wellies and have a squidgy walk for Stick ‘n’ Step!
Quite simply, nurseries are being invited to fill children's wellies with jelly, fill a trough or a messy play area with jelly and give children the opportunity to splash around, get messy and have fun - all for a good cause. Babies can also get involved as well by using jelly in their messy play activity time.
In a similar way to other charity fundraising days, we would like nurseries to ask parents for a donation for their children to take part in the activity. March is cerebral palsy awareness month and so we are encouraging nurseries to take part in the event in that month to raise awareness and money.
We know that nursery staff are very busy and so we want to make sure that participation in this fundraising event is as simple as possible.
All nurseries will receive:
A poster to display to promote the fundraising event to parents- see attached
A letter to send home to parents to share more information about the work of Stick 'n' Step and how their donation will make a difference
A digital advert to post on their Social media pages to promote the fact that they are taking part in the event
A pre-prepared press release that they can fill in their details and send to their local newspaper
A certificate of thanks when the money is received by the charity
The event is sponsored by B & M Waste and so we are also offering the nursery that raises the most amount of money vouchers to the value of £100 for recycling services with B & M Waste.
