We are always looking for keen volunteers to help at our Runcorn and Wallasey centres, and at our wonderful events throughout the year. If you are interested in volunteering with us, please contact: info@sticknstep.org

The annual kayak event – now in its 12th year – takes place on Sunday 16 June, with people rowing 14 miles from New Brighton to Thurstaston to raise money for charity.

It starts from Harrison Drive beach at 6am – just after high water, with participants heading over behind Hilbre Island for low tide, and then on to the finish at Dee Sailing Club for around 3pm where there will be entertainment.

Registration nights are being held at The Railway pub in Meols for people wanting to take part in this year’s Wirral Kayak Challenge.  These will take place on Thursday evenings from 7.30pm – 9.30pm, starting on 25 April and running until 6 June.

  • 📝Registration fee: £35 payable upon registration

  • 💰Minimum sponsorship: £100

  • 🛶 There are a limited number of kayaks available to hire, these don't need to be paid for until closer to the event but I strongly advise getting a reservation in ASAP!

    • Single kayak - £25
    • Double kayak - £40

PLEASE NOTE: Once you have registered, please email Netty@sticknstep.org to inform her that you're a 'kayak hero' and your Just Giving page can be set up here:  https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/wkc-sns-2024

More information on how to get involved can also be found at https://www.facebook.com/wirralkayakchallenge.
