

Wirral Kayak Challenge

The annual kayak event – now in its 14th year – with people rowing 14 miles from New Brighton to Thurstaston to raise money for charity.
It starts from Harrison Drive beach at around 6am – just after high water, with participants heading over behind Hilbre Island for low tide, and then on to the finish at Dee Sailing Club for around 3pm where there will be entertainment.
Registration nights will be held at The Railway pub in Meols towards the end of May onwards for people wanting to take part in the 2026 Wirral Kayak Challenge.

Stick ‘n’ Step receives no government funding, we rely greatly on supporters signing up to events like the Wirral Kayak Challenge. Without the bravery and courage of supporters like you signing up to these epic challenges and raising sponsorship, we would be unable to continue our vital work providing life changing support to the children and young adults that attend Stick ‘n’ Step. The sponsorship money you raise will help to fund and deliver our services to over 100 families across the North West each year.

Sign up by attending the registration nights from end of May then drop us an email to fundraising@sticknstep.org to inform the team that you are joining #TeamSticknStep so we can arrange to get a branded supporter t-shirt out to you.
