Join us at the 2025 MBNA Chester Marathon - 5th October 2025
The MBNA Chester Marathon is the 6th largest Marathon in the UK, 3x winner of the UK's best marathon, Racecheck GOLD rated event and home to the England & Welsh Athletics Age Group Masters Championships.
All abilities, ages, fun and charity runners are welcome.
The event boasts a lively city centre start and finish, with a route that passes all Chester's iconic landmarks, then heads out into the Cheshire & North Wales countryside, before returning along the banks of the River Dee for an unforgettable finish and all the enthusiasm you could ask for from the Cestrian supporters who line the course to cheer you on.

Stick ‘n’ Step receives no government funding, we rely greatly on supporters signing up to events like the Chester Marathon. Without the bravery and courage of supporters like you signing up to these epic challenges and raising sponsorship, we would be unable to continue our vital work providing life changing support to the children and young adults that attend Stick ‘n’ Step. The sponsorship money you raise will help to fund and deliver our services to over 110 families across the North West each year.
