Happy Birthday to Stick ‘n’ Step

Having turned 18 in the summer of 2020, cerebral palsy charity Stick ‘n’ Step is spending a whole year celebrating this special milestone anniversary. From its early days in a Wirral church hall, to the two centres that it operates from today in Wallasey and Runcorn, Stick ‘n’ Step has supported hundreds of children, young people and their families.

Fundraising ideas

We are planning a packed schedule of activities taking place inside and outside the classroom, across its social media channels and in our range of fundraising plans to reflect on the past 18 years and look forward to the future too. There are many ways to get involved. Here are a few examples:

Facebook Birthday Fundraiser

We would like at least 18 people to set up and share Facebook birthday fundraisers to help celebrate Stick ‘n’ Step’s birthday year. It’s easy to set up a birthday fundraiser via Facebook and ask all your friends to donate in your name: https://www.facebook.com/help/1910205189301966. If you would prefer a sponsorship form to collect gifts in person you can contact our fundraising team for a sponsorship form.

Virtual Birthday Table

We have set up a special online birthday table. We want you to help this party go with a bang. We are encouraging individuals to buy a virtual present, cake, and/or balloons to go towards our 18th birthday party. Stick 'n' Step 18th Birthday Celebration Table | Visufund. If you are a community group or business you can even set up your own birthday celebration table encouraging employees and members to fill your own party.

Pryors Hayes Golf Day

In May we have Stick ‘n’ Step's famous Pryors Hayes charity golf day. We would like 18 companies to sponsor a hole each for £500 in return for 1 team (4 ball) in the competition at Pryors Hayes golf club, Cheshire. The event includes a hot buffet, raffle, auction and a range of team prizes. Your company will have a tee board with company branding and any other branding or presence they would like at their chosen hole.
