What do you do?

Hello, I’m a classroom assistant and my job is to support the conductors in their daily tasks.  It “stretches” from preparing classrooms, activities to facilitating individuals or groups of children.

What is it like working for Stick ‘n’ Step?

I feel honoured to have been able to meet and work with the most inspiring people ever.

What did you do before, when did you join Stick ‘n’ Step and why?

Before I came to the UK, I worked as an interpreter for the EU.
In the UK, I worked as a teaching assistant in various primary schools with children with special needs.  In 2002 I joined Lee Sykes Conductive Education Centre and in January 2004 I joined Stick ‘n’ Step.  I have been here ever since!

What Qualifications/experience do you have that is relevant to your role?

I have 5 “A” levels in various subjects. 
I am an English language tutor for children.
I have Cambridge Proficiency WMC
I have been a supply-teaching assistant.

What do you find rewarding?

When I see improvement, however big or small, in the development of our children it makes me feel proud to be part of this special team.

Experience and Interests

I love spending time with my family
 
I love travelling.

I love eating out and predictably love shopping and the combination of all of the above, preferably at the same time!

What values do you feel are important for working with Stick ‘n’ Step

Most important values have to be:
Ability to work as part of a team, patience, caring-loving nature, flexibility, trustworthy, reliable and have a good sense of humour!
