Stick 'n' Step is the ideal place to meet other parents/carers/grand parents whose children have Cerebral Palsy.
Whilst your children are in their session, we invite you to make yourself a drink and relax in our lounge area. (The sofas are very comfortable!). Take the time to chat to others in the same position as you find yourself.
Please share experiences; word of mouth is a very valuable tool. If you find out something tell others, tell us and we'll pass it on.
It was through chatting that we discovered an excellent dentist who specialises in children with special needs.
Janet Griffiths is a Senior Dentist for Wirral's Community Dental Services and a specialist in Children's dentistry. She can be contacted on 0151 604 7295.
We have some children who have been with us since we started. In that time their parents have picked up a plethora of ideas and tips and are bursting to share them. Particularly if you are new to Stick 'n' Step. It won't take long for you to see that we have a wealth of knowledge here and some of it will come from our parents!
If you have received forms to complete from the Local Education Authority or Children's Services, they can be daunting. Someone at Stick 'n' Step will have been there and will be more than happy to help you.
If you want to know what equipment to buy for use at home, again, just ask. We will have a contact and will be happy to guide you through your purchase.
Please spend time with us; you'll be amazed at how much you can pick up from just chatting!
