Making a donation

Stick 'n' Step relies completely on fundraising and donations to provide life-changing help to enable children with Cerebal Palsy to become more independent. The Centre provides Conductive Education entirely free of charge and has over 60 children attending sessions every week.

We are happy to show you around the Centre so that you can see how much you are helping by giving us your donations and support.

However little your donation it WILL make a huge difference to the children we help.

How you can donate ...

Your Time

Your time is as valuable as your money or gifts! If you have some time free to help either in the shop or Centre please give us a call.

There are lots of ways you can help, volunteering in the shop - serving or just helping sort out donations, volunteering in the Centre either Admin or with the children - subject to satisfactory CRB check, helping out at events, helping organise fundraising activities.

However, little time you can spare it is really valuable to us!

In Person - Cheque/Cash

You can donate in person at the Centre we can only accept cash or cheques; at the moment we do not have the facility to process Credit/Debit cards.

If you prefer to remain anonymous we also accept donations by post.

At our Shop - donate money or goods

We accept donations at our shop both monetary and goods for sale.

Please pop in and speak with our friendly staff. Unfortunately we cannot accept electrical goods because we do not have the facility to test them.

Legacies

You can leave a gift to Stick 'n' Step in your Will; this can be one of the most important and meaningful ways to show your support. It is a wonderful way to ensure we can continue to provide valuable help to children with Cerebal Palsy to enable them to live a full and more independent life. It can also be a way to reduce inheritance tax liability on your estate - legacies to a registered charity are tax-free.

No matter how small, this gift would make a huge difference.

Payroll Giving

If you wish to donate directly from your salary please contact us for the appropriate form and we can assist you.

Payroll giving is one of the simplest and efficient ways to make regular donations to Stick 'n' Step. You donation comes out of your salary before tax.

So for every £10 you donate you will only pay £8. If you are in a higher tax bracket, your £10 donation costs you just £6.

Standing Order

Set up a regular gift - with a Standing Order

By donating every month you will ensure that we can continue to provide life changing help to children with Cerebal Palsy and their families through Conductive Education. Just £2 per month will enable us to buy a pack of baby wipes and a box of tissues. (You’ll be amazed at just how many of these we get through in a day!).

Standing Order donations give us the security of long-term funding, enabling us to continue to provide free support to children with Cerebal Palsy.

Standing Order donations also help us save on administration costs - so that more of your money can be spent on developing the service we can offer.

Creating your fundraising page should take around 5 minutes - that's it!
Choose the event you are doing and select Stick 'n' Step from the charity list, so that the money you raise goes directly to us.
If you don't have one already, register for a Justgiving account.
Give your page a title, write a message to your friends and add a photo.
Email the address of your page to everyone you know, here and abroad, and start collecting donations online!
'Justgiving' charges a small transaction fee on donations. Money is transferred automatically into your charity's bank account - you don't have to chase any cash or cheques!
